Overview
QDEK® 2400 is a robust solvent-based primer built to prep roof decks for self-adhesive membranes, vapour barriers, and VCLs. With a formula based on synthetic rubber and resins, it bonds cleanly and evenly to diverse substrates — metals, timber, bituminous surfaces, and insulation boards.
QDEK® 2400 Self Adhesive Membrane Primer dries quickly (1–2 minutes), allowing immediate foot traffic and membrane application. The spray canister system delivers wide coverage, speed and control, making QDEK®2400 an essential for contractors who demand efficiency, reliability and safer-by-design products.

How to use
- Conditions
Ensure adhesive and surfaces are between 16°C–27°C for best performance. Use with adequate ventilation.
- Surface preparation
Ensure both surfaces are clean, dry and free from contaminants.
- Application
Spray 10–20cm from the surface at a 90° angle. For large areas, spray in overlapping passes to ensure uniform coverage.
When connected, keep the valve open and lines pressurised.
- Bonding
Primer dries in approximately 1–2 minutes and can be walked on safely. Once primed, install self-adhesive membranes or vapour barriers immediately, following the membrane manufacturer’s instructions.
